More than a community—we are the engine driving Armenia's FPV revolution, transforming pixels on a screen into pilots in the sky.
Discover Our MissionReshaping the narrative around drones in Armenia through education, sports, and open-source collaboration.
When people hear "drones" in Armenia, they often think of military applications. The ArmDrone Community exists to shatter that single-story. Founded in 2022, we bridged a critical gap in local drone education, creating a safe, creative, and highly technical space for enthusiasts.
We are the primary hub for FPV (First-Person View) technology in the country. FPV isn't just flying; it's virtual reality in the real world. Pilots wear goggles that stream live video from the drone, allowing for immersive, high-speed flight that requires lightning-fast reflexes.
Through our grassroots efforts, we have built an ecosystem that supports everyone from a 12-year-old picking up a soldering iron for the first time, to seasoned pilots representing Armenia on the international racing stage.
Our community thrives on the "Maker" philosophy. We don't just buy drones; we build them. Our members learn to design frames using 3D printers, solder intricate electronic components, write software configurations, and tune flight controllers.
We act as the official Armenian Drone Racing Community, developing the sports ecosystem locally while fostering cross-border collaborations. Our frequent partnerships with the FPV Drone Racing Federation of Georgia have resulted in epic bi-national competitions in both Yerevan and Tbilisi.
Whether it's high-speed 5-inch racing through neon-lit indoor courses, or acrobatic "Tiny Whoop" flying in university halls, ArmDrone is the pulse of the Armenian UAV world.
The driving force behind Armenia's FPV movement.
Every great technological shift begins with a single person who refuses to accept the status quo. For Armenia's FPV scene, that person is Hayk Karapetyan. Seeing a fragmented landscape of isolated hobbyists and a severe lack of educational resources, Hayk founded ArmDrone in 2022.
Hayk’s vision was never just about building fast robots; it was about building people. He recognized that FPV drone racing is the perfect intersection of mechanical engineering, computer science, and competitive sports. By founding the community, he created a pipeline to turn curious teenagers into highly skilled aerospace technicians and competitive pilots.
His relentless dedication elevated the community from a small Telegram group to an institution of national importance. In April 2026, Hayk's work was officially recognized when ArmDrone was inducted into the Public Council attached to the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia—giving the community a direct voice in shaping the country's national UAV strategy.
Hayk continues to host "Entering the UAV Industry" panels, personally mentoring the next generation of engineers, and proving that with enough passion, you can put a small nation on the global tech map.
From a local meetup to a national strategic asset.
Hayk Karapetyan officially founds the ArmDrone Community to bridge the gap in drone education and unite FPV enthusiasts in Armenia.
Held at Yerevan State University. The event cements Mini Whoop racing as a staple of Armenian tech culture, drawing massive local crowds.
Hosted at Anahit Tech Center, Hayk leads a panel on "Entering the UAV Industry," shifting focus from pure hobby to career development.
Launch of a specialized, free 1-month course for ages 12-16, sponsored by Ucom. Students learn to build, code, and fly. Top students are drafted into the competitive national team.
Held at Gazprom Armenia Educational Sport Complex. Over 40 international participants from 5 countries, ages 11 to 60, showcase the community's massive regional draw.
ArmDrone is officially added to the Public Council of the Minister of High-Tech Industry, becoming a key player in national UAV strategy.
The pinnacle of community growth: Hosting the MultiGP Western Asia Regional Qualifier for 5-inch drones at the Ararat Golf Club, putting Armenia on the global FPV racing map.
None of this would be possible without the support of forward-thinking organizations.
